Telnet

Telnet is user command and underlying an underlying TCP\IP for accessing remote computers. Through Telnet, an administrator or another user can access someone else's computer remotely. On the Web, HTTP and FTP protocols allow you to request specific files from remote computers, but not to actually be logged on as a user of that computer. With Telnet, you log on as a regular user with whatever privileges you may have been granted to the specific application and data on that computer.
You can log on computer from telnet command it just provide a virtual terminal as you are working on real terminal the command of telnet will be like this

telnet IP ADDRESS 23

Here 23 is port number of telnet service.

You can give domain name of the any website or search engine on which you want to login. First you need to have inter net connection on PC. For example if you want to log on google server just go to START Button and click on run command then type the which are given below

Ex:

telnet www.google.com portaddress

telnet www.gmail.com 25

This is a very powerful command by which almost hacking is performed if you are smart enough to login on any website server then you can have command on website, but for this it is very neccesary to know what is directory structure of the website.

If any network manager want to control his lab and he is not in same state then he can just login on his server he will feel as he is sitting on his lab he can observe everything what is going on his lab.

It was small introduction about telnet if you want to know more about telnet and its working you can mail me on eid.
